Carlton LaFroyge discovered the secret identity of his classmate, Robbie Baldwin (Speedball). After discovering this, he blackmailed Baldwin into letting him join Baldwin's team, the New Warriors. He began calling himself Hindsight Lad, and clained to be able to discern tactical strategy after the fact, in order to join the team. The Warriors reluctanty let him join, only giving him access to computer duty and administrative work. LaFroyge proved instrumental in his position when he organized a backup team to save the real team. He was granted full membership in gratitude. He then changed his name to Hindsight. Later, when the team disbanded, he returned to college.
The New Warriors later re-formed as a reality TV show. This resulted in a disaster that killed hundreds of innocents. The members of the team recieved public outrage and were attacked as civilians. Their civilian identities had been revealed on a website devoted to their destruction. As they sought out the website to take it down, they found that Hindsight was behind the website because he had been so distraught by the disaster.
